President's Message

Martin Feagie - November 2011
If you missed the EXPO, you missed a great one. We had over 100 campers and a lot of drive-ins. Workshops were full and well attended along with a good selection of vendors with great food and merchandise.. We had several jams going each night to 3 or 4 AM. Everywhere I went I was met with smiles and friendly people. Overall a great weekend ending Sunday afternoon after several hours of good Bluegrass gospel music. I really appreciate all the people who stepped forward along with the bands and workshop instructors, vendors, and Dixieland Music Park to help make this year a success. Also to the Musicians who stayed on Sunday to play the gospel music.
Thank You all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Time to look forward to the new year. Choices to be made. There will be New Years Parties at Twin Oaks Park, Hoboken, Dixieland Music Park, Waldo, FL, and at Withlacoochee Park
Please try to attend our January campout and meeting at Dixieland Music Park, Waldo, FL. January 20-21, 2012 when the new board will take over. We have the positions of Secretary-Treasurer, Food and Beverage, Newsletter Editor, Assistant Editor, Merchandise, and publicity to fill. We have two people interested in the publicity spot and will vote on them. We need people to think about the other positions and if you care about NFBA, please step forward and volunteer to help us fill these positions for next year. There is time and work involved, but there is a satisfaction in knowing you have done your part in keeping NFBA alive and promoting bluegrass music. You also have a chance to meet a lot of people you might never meet, who could become future friends in your bluegrass family.
I have enjoyed my year as President and I am looking forward to next year as President..
Thanks again, Martin Feagle NFBA President
