Dear NFBA Members,
We broke the attendance record at the EXPO! The cold weather didn’t keep over 240 campers and more than
300 day-timers from experiencing this great weekend. We had some great talent on the stage and I believe
our vendor assortment was the best ever. The individual instrument workshops were extremely successful
with attendees from all levels of playing. As always, Whit Crews, his family and friends were there to
accommodate our stay. What a great weekend!
Our Annual Meeting will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2007, at Dixieland Music Park in Waldo, Florida.
At this meeting you will elect your Officers and Directors for 2007. Due to other obligations for 2007,
I will not be running for President or any other office. This has been a great experience for me and
I hope to be able to do it again in the future. All officer positions are open for election. Duties and
responsibilities for each position are noted in the Flier or you can see them on-line at
http://www.nfbluegrass.org/aboutus.html#top.
If you are interested in one of the offices, you should plan to attend the meeting on Saturday. If you
have any questions about the positions, please feel free to contact any of the current Officers or
Directors.
As an NFBA member it is your responsibility to nominate and vote for the officials to take this
organization in the direction you want it to go. We have made some changes this past year but more
are needed to put the NFBA at the top. Please try to attend the annual meeting, nominate the people you
think can continue this upward trend, and then vote to get them into the office. We have a wonderful,
successful organization; and your voice in the leadership is vital to our continued success.
I hope to see you at the most important meeting of the year.
Sincerely,
Rick Ray
President
