Our one-day picking in Green Cove Springs had a good turn out and some great jamming. It was a great opportunity to meet and play with several musicians who I haven't met before.

Our grand finale for the year is just around the corner so mark your calendars for the third weekend in November at Twin Oaks Park in Hoboken, GA. Your Board is working hard to make this Expo the best ever. We have 18 bands for this showcase weekend and performances will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, November 17th, and at noon on Saturday. All are NFBA affiliated bands and represent some of the best talent in the area. Instrument workshops will be offered at the Expo on Saturday and we encourage you to take advantage of these free workshops. Look for the posted schedules or ask one your board members for more information. Food as well as craft vendors will be there throughout the weekend.

Don't forget that we will not have a monthly picking in December but be sure to make your plans to attend January's Annual Meeting at Dixieland Music Park in Waldo, January 19-20, 2007. More information about the Annual Meeting will be in the next issue of the Midnight Flier.
